Capital to invest has exploded exponentially in the US , and even in Europe where private equity is not as popular as the US, is picking up quickly. The more interesting trend is the Asian trend. Private Equity investment in India exceeds $2 Billion. It is the top 5 private equity investment destinations in the world. Development of Private Equity in China is in early stages, and this is one area that India leads, but China is picking up. Interestingly the Middle East with excess liquidity is seeing an increasing Private Equity play.
